During his visit to electricity sites targeted by drones, Khartoum State Governor Ahmed Othman Hamza called for the swift restoration of services and the provision of necessary fuel to power water stations, wells, hospitals, and to ensure the supply of gas and water to bakeries.
The Director of the Electricity Transmission Sector in the state, Ibrahim Mohamed Adam, announced the commencement of repair operations for the power substations in Omdurman that were damaged by drone strikes.
Meanwhile, Omdurman is experiencing dire conditions following drone attacks on electricity stations, which led to a total blackout and a worsening water crisis.
The city has also been hit by a severe fuel shortage due to repeated drone strikes on fuel depots in Port Sudan during the first week of this month.
