The spokesperson for the General Coordination for Displaced Persons and Refugees in Darfur, Adam Regal, has revealed a significant increase in the number of people fleeing El Fasher over the past two weeks.
He stated that displaced individuals face severe hardships along the route to the Tawila area, including death, assault, and gender-based physical violence, with most arriving lacking shelter and basic necessities.
The intensifying clashes in El Fasher have led to a surge in new displacement from the city, its camps, and the surrounding areas.
