Activists and volunteers in El-Obeid, the capital of North Kordofan State, have warned of an impending humanitarian crisis as the rainy season approaches. The warning comes amid a continuous influx of displaced people and the overcrowding of the city with hundreds of families fleeing ongoing military operations and clashes in West and South Kordofan.
The activists called on philanthropists and humanitarian organizations to urgently intervene and provide displaced families with essential shelter, food, and medicine.
The city recently received a humanitarian convoy from the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center as part of the third phase of the Food Security Support Project in North Kordofan.
