The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have expanded their attacks on villages in North Kordofan, specifically targeting Um Nabag, Shaq Al-Nawm, and Al-Mashaqqa—north of Bara locality—setting some of the villages completely ablaze.
These assaults have resulted in the deaths of dozens of rural civilians, and triggered a mass exodus of hundreds of families fleeing to nearby safer areas and localities, including the state capital and as far as Al-Duwaym in White Nile State and Omdurman in Khartoum, under extremely poor shelter conditions, according to eyewitnesses among the displaced who arrived in El-Obeid.
Witnesses also reported that the militias carried out widespread looting of both public and private property, spreading panic and fear among the civilian population.
