The government of North Kordofan State reported that attacks by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) on villages surrounding El-Obeid, the state capital, have displaced around 7,500 people.
Mohamed Ismail, the Humanitarian Aid Commissioner, stated that RSF forces attacked 14 villages in Bara locality and 13 villages in Sheikan locality, south of El-Obeid, in addition to villages around the towns of En Nahud and El-Khowei in West Kordofan that were also targeted.
The RSF has been carrying out assaults on villages to the south, east, and west of El-Obeid, resulting in deaths, injuries, and the displacement of residents fleeing to the city.
