Sorghum Distribution Centers in Dilling: Long Queues and Uncertain Shares

Monitoring Desk – Mashawir

In the city of Dilling, South Kordofan State, residents are crowding for long hours in front of sorghum distribution centers amid a severe shortage of food and a continuous rise in the prices of basic goods. Meanwhile, the city continues to receive an influx of displaced people from Kadugli, the state capital, which is witnessing escalating security and health deterioration.

Displaced persons from the capital revealed that the rate of displacement is accelerating due to worsening living conditions and the complete lack of essential goods.

Dilling is facing dire humanitarian conditions, with basic supplies nearly unavailable following the halt of commercial shipments from the cities of El-Obeid and Al-Khuwai. This disruption is due to the closure of the “El-Obeid – Dilling – Kadugli” road by allied forces of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement–North (SPLM-N) led by Abdelaziz al-Hilu and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
