Activists: Dilling Won’t Survive Another Three Days Without Aid

Monitoring – Mashawir

Activists have issued urgent appeals and warnings about an imminent humanitarian catastrophe in the city of Dilling, one of the main cities in South Kordofan State, asserting that the situation there is completely out of control.

They stated, “The conditions in this city have reached an unbearable level. Thousands of citizens are starving, going to sleep hungry and waking up to the cries of empty stomachs. What’s even more disheartening is the silence from the state and society, as if the people of Dilling are not part of this nation.”

They added, “The children of the city no longer fill the streets with laughter and play. Instead, they roam the markets in search of sesame seeds that fall from trucks. Hunger has left them to a merciless fate.”

The activists noted that markets in the city are nearly empty of food supplies, and what remains is being sold in long queues that grow longer every day, while prices soar beyond the means of any citizen.

“Meanwhile, homes are empty, hope is fading, and people are living on the edge of death. If no one acts now, Dilling will not survive another three days,” they warned.
