Worsening Humanitarian Crisis in El Fasher as Deadly Shelling Hits Abu Shouk Camp

Reports – Mashawir

The Emergency Room of Abu Shouk Camp for displaced persons reported that eight people were killed and seven others wounded following artillery shelling carried out by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) on the camp.

Field sources indicated that injuries are occurring almost daily due to ongoing clashes in the city, while basic life-saving medicines are completely unavailable. The humanitarian situation continues to deteriorate amid a near-total shortage of food, medicine, and clean drinking water.

Urgent pleas have been made for immediate delivery of humanitarian aid to thousands of civilians trapped in El Fasher to prevent an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe and save a generation of children and youth who have lived under siege for over two years.

Meanwhile, the Sudan Doctors’ Network announced that seven civilians were killed and 71 others wounded in what it described as deliberate artillery shelling by the RSF targeting residential neighborhoods in El Fasher, calling it an act of genocide against the civilian population.
