Amid the worsening humanitarian, health, and food crisis in El Fasher, several local initiatives have emerged to support communal kitchens and charitable food programs in the city.
The Al-Thiqa Humanitarian Organization in North Darfur State, in cooperation with the Turkish IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation, has provided support to the Takiyya Matbakh Al-Khair (Al-Khair Charity Kitchen) to deliver meals to displaced people trapped in the city.
Mohamed Al-Refaie, head of the Takiyya Matbakh Al-Khair initiative, confirmed that the continued support from organizations and charitable associations has significantly helped alleviate the suffering of citizens and provide meals with nutritional value.
Meanwhile, the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) stated on its social media platforms that its troops are continuing to advance, taking control of new neighborhoods in the city and nearing a breakthrough of the army’s Sixth Division defenses.
