Medical sources have described the situation in El Fasher as extremely dire, particularly after the military hospital and the police hospital went out of service, while the Saudi Hospital has been unable to operate at full capacity due to a shortage of medical staff.
The sources noted that healthcare workers continue to carry out their duties despite grave risks and heavy artillery shelling that has targeted health facilities by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
They also pointed to a complete lack of burial shrouds, forcing residents to use plastic bags to cover the bodies of the dead, whose numbers have risen sharply in recent days amid an indescribable escalation of fighting.
Meanwhile, RSF forces have been advancing into residential neighborhoods and overcrowded displacement centers, carrying out summary executions of dozens of civilians on ethnic grounds.
