The Coordination of El-Fasher Resistance Committees has called for urgent, practical measures to lift the siege the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have imposed on the city since April 2024.
In a statement, the coordination said residents have endured months of food shortages, medicine scarcity, communication blackouts, and dire humanitarian conditions. It warned the crisis will deteriorate further if authorities rely only on statements and appeals instead of concrete field operations.
The statement said lifting the siege “cannot be achieved through appeals or initiatives but through the language of force,” and called for mobilization of forces, deployment of aircraft, strikes against enemy concentrations, and other military measures. It also urged anyone able to contribute—whether financially, materially, or through decisive action—to help break the siege, stressing that El-Fasher “cannot endure more waiting.”
The coordination cautioned that continued inaction risks repeating catastrophic humanitarian scenarios, and reiterated that the only viable solution is to end the siege by force.
