MSF Provides Care to 600 Survivors of Sexual Violence in Darfur

Reports – Mashawir

Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) announced that it has provided care to 600 survivors of sexual violence over a four-month period in North Darfur State.

In posts on platform X, the organization stated that between April and August 2025, it offered medical and psychological support to more than 600 victims and survivors of sexual violence in North Darfur.

MSF noted that 302 survivors received care in May and June alone, attributing the sharp increase during this period to attacks on the Zamzam and Abu Shouk camps in El Fasher.

The organization added that most of the survivors were women and girls, including children.

In August alone, MSF provided care to 112 survivors, 85% of whom came from El Fasher or Zamzam. Around 30% of the survivors were under the age of 18, while 97% of the perpetrators were not civilians, the organization stressed.
