The North Darfur Emergency Chambers Council revealed a significant increase in the number of displaced people fleeing clashes in El Fasher and Abu Shouk camp over the past few days, heading toward the Korma area in North Darfur.
According to a statement from the council, 270 families fleeing from El Fasher and Abu Shouk camp have arrived at Silik camp in the Korma area, facing severe shortages of basic necessities, particularly food and medicine, amid worsening humanitarian conditions. The council warned that the numbers are expected to rise as displacement continues.
The statement renewed its call on humanitarian organizations and charitable bodies to urgently intervene and fulfill their humanitarian duty by providing food, medicine, and shelter to the affected families and displaced people in these difficult circumstances.
