The spokesperson for the displaced persons at Zamzam Camp, Mohamed Khamis Douda, revealed that the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) had forced more than 100 families to evacuate the Abu Talib School shelter located near the Abu Shouk Camp area.
Douda stated that RSF elements infiltrated the shelter and killed three people, including elderly women and men who were injured or physically disabled.
He also highlighted the uncertain fate of dozens of abducted and missing persons, and reported a large-scale internal displacement within the city of El Fasher, as residents fled in fear of repeated RSF attacks on residential neighborhoods. He added that the RSF continues to tighten its siege and use starvation as a pressure tactic to force the remaining civilians to leave the city.
For nearly two years, El Fasher has witnessed continuous military escalation, artillery bombardment, and ongoing fighting, alongside a crippling siege that has resulted in a severe and worsening humanitarian crisis, marked by shortages of food, medicine, and drinking water.
