Residents of An-Nuhud city, which fell under the control of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in early May, complain of a total breakdown of security, as the city has descended into chaos and looting.
Many inhabitants have fled to nearby villages and surrounding areas, but the lack of services and worsening security conditions have forced them to move again toward eastern and northern parts of the country.
As a result of these circumstances, food supplies have become scarce, and the prices of the few available goods in shops have skyrocketed to unprecedented levels.
The city of El-Obeid, the capital of North Kordofan State, has become the preferred destination for residents of An-Nuhud, especially after the intensification of fighting and the rise in human rights violations.
