Mossad Boulos: We Are Working Tirelessly to Achieve a Ceasefire in Sudan

Reports – Mashawir

U.S. Presidential and State Department Advisor for Arab and African Affairs Mossad Boulos has warned of the worsening situation in what he described as the world’s largest humanitarian crisis currently unfolding in Sudan.

He stressed that achieving a ceasefire in Sudan is a top priority for the United States, which is working closely with the United Nations and relief agencies to address the crisis.

In an interview with Bloomberg, Boulos reiterated his concern over the dire humanitarian conditions, particularly in the besieged city of El Fasher, which has been under blockade for more than a year and a half, leaving around 300,000 people without food or medical care.

The U.S. adviser explained that he is in constant contact with Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Egypt, adding that his team is working diligently to secure a three-month ceasefire in Sudan and to lift the siege on El Fasher as an urgent priority.
