A report by the Humanitarian Research Lab at Yale University, supported by satellite imagery and verified video footage, has confirmed the occurrence of mass killings following the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) takeover of El Fasher, the capital of North Darfur State.

The lab described a “systematic campaign of deliberate ethnic cleansing” targeting non-Arab tribal communities, including the Fur, Zaghawa, and Berti groups.

According to the report, satellite images analyzed by the lab showed “human-sized bodies” near RSF positions, surrounded by “red stains” on the ground suspected to be blood traces.

Bodies were also observed on the outskirts of the city, corroborating video evidence circulating on social media since Sunday that allegedly shows mass executions of civilians attempting to flee.

Additional satellite imagery revealed large-scale displacement of civilians heading southward.

The Humanitarian Research Lab stated, “The world must act immediately to apply maximum pressure on the RSF and its backers—particularly the United Arab Emirates—to stop the killings,” emphasizing that the documented events constitute war crimes and crimes against humanity.
