The U.S. Presidential Advisor for Arab and African Affairs, Musaad Bolus, has reaffirmed the United States’ commitment to ending the horrific conflict in Sudan.
The U.S. Embassy in Khartoum published a post from Bolus on “X,” in which he said:
“We are working under President Trump’s leadership, together with partners, to facilitate a humanitarian truce and put an end to external military support that fuels violence among all parties. With peace and stability, the Sudanese people will be able to return to civilian-led governance in a unified Sudan.”
Bolus added:
“Under President Trump’s leadership, we are working with our partners to facilitate a humanitarian ceasefire and to halt foreign military backing to the parties, which is escalating the violence.”
He continued:
“With the restoration of peace and stability, the Sudanese people can return to a civilian-led government in a unified Sudan.”
He concluded:
“Trump wants peace, and in cooperation with Secretary of State Marco Rubio, we are taking action now.”
