The Sudan Doctors
Network said on Thursday that the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) are detaining 29 girls and 73 women in the city of Al-Mujlad in West Kordofan State under extremely poor humanitarian conditions.
In a post on the X platform, the network explained that the detainees were forcibly transferred and held on charges related to their relatives’ alleged affiliation with the Sudanese army.
The Sudan Doctors Network confirmed that the detention of women and children constitutes a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and all international conventions.
The network appealed to the United Nations and international and regional organizations to assume their responsibilities and exert pressure on the RSF leadership to stop these violations and provide protection for civilians, especially women and children.
