Al-Burhan Asks Turkish President to Help End the War

The Chairman of Sudan’s Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Armed Forces, Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, said he had asked Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to intervene and help end the war in Sudan, describing relations between the two countries as strategic.
During a meeting with the Sudanese community at the embassy headquarters in the Turkish capital, Ankara, on Saturday, al-Burhan said: “We asked the Turkish president to intervene and assist us in resolving the Sudanese crisis, and he welcomed this request.”
He added, “We are confident that he will seek to find a solution that satisfies the Sudanese people.”
Al-Burhan began an official visit to Turkey on Thursday, during which he discussed the latest developments in Sudan with President Erdoğan, as well as defense cooperation between the two sides across various fields.
