Follow-ups - Mashawir
Massad Boulos, Senior Advisor to the U.S. President for African and Arabian Affairs, stated that “there is a consensus within the International Quartet regarding the implementation of a truce in Sudan as soon as possible, and that attempts are currently underway to achieve this.”
He added that “the United States does not recognize any parallel entities in Sudan, but it communicates with all parties to reach a peace agreement.”
Boulos further noted that the U.S. does not equate the Sudanese government with any parallel entity.
Prior to this, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi received Massad Boulos. El-Sisi stated that Egypt categorically rejects any attempts to undermine the security and stability of Sudan, adding that Cairo’s position remains firm in supporting Sudan’s sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity.
