Turkey to Host International Conference for the Reconstruction of Khartoum

Turkey will host an international conference on February 14th for the reconstruction of the Sudanese capital, Khartoum. The event will see the participation of more than 200 international and regional organizations, alongside influential global figures in the fields of relief and development.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has directed that unlimited support be provided for reconstruction efforts and for addressing the aftermath of war-related destruction.
The conference is expected to discuss the significant challenges facing the rehabilitation of infrastructure, basic services, and vital facilities that have suffered extensive destruction. This specifically includes the health, water, and education sectors, following the massive damage, sabotage, and looting that targeted power plants, water stations, hospitals, and universities.
