The High Commissioner for Refugees, Barham Salih, warned that the ongoing war in Sudan will not stop at its borders.
He called for increased international and regional efforts to end the conflict, a conflict he stated could have been avoided or contained in its early stages had those efforts been unified.
During his address at a session on Sudan at the Davos Forum held in Switzerland, Salih explained that his recent visits to Kenya and Chad revealed a shortage of humanitarian aid and the inadequacy of what is currently available to those in need, alongside several significant gaps regarding protection.
