According to the German Press Agency (DPA), the Qatar Fund for Development explained in a statement on Monday 26 January 2026 that the aid, which was received by Abdullah Rashid Al-Kashashi Al-Muhannadi, the Chargé d’Affaires at the Qatari Embassy in Sudan includes essential food supplies, clothing, and shelter materials such as tents and blankets.

The aid also included necessary household items aimed at meeting the urgent needs of the most affected groups, including displaced persons and those impacted by the ongoing conflict, deteriorating food security, and the difficulty of humanitarian access in several regions, according to the Qatar News Agency (QNA).

The statement noted that the arrival of this shipment reflects the commitment of Qatar and Turkey to continue supporting the Sudanese people by providing coordinated and effective humanitarian aid. This contributes to strengthening emergency response efforts, alleviating human suffering, and supporting stability amidst existing challenges.

The Qatar Fund for Development reaffirmed its ongoing humanitarian efforts to assist affected communities during times of crisis and to work with international partners to provide support based on humanitarian principles, contributing to resilience and supporting paths toward peace and sustainable development.
