Follow-ups - Mashaweer
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) stated that “more than a thousand people from the besieged cities of Kadugli and Dilling have been displaced due to recent clashes in the region.”
The organization added that approximately 65,000 people have been displaced in the Kordofan region since last October.
The UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) indicated that 6,500 people have crossed into the state of South Sudan since early December.
In this context, the United Nations stated that the escalating conflict in Sudan’s Kordofan region continues to force civilians to flee their homes, exposing them to grave risks.
