“Somoud” Alliance Reviews Initiatives to Stop the War in Sudan with the European Council

As part of its visit to the Federal Republic of Germany, a delegation from the Civil Democratic Alliance of Revolutionary Forces (“Somoud”) met today, Thursday, with Mr. Will Brown, Senior Expert in the Africa Program at the European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR), accompanied by Ms. Maite Arrieta, Africa Program Coordinator.

According to a post on the alliance’s Facebook page, Mr. Brown reviewed the efforts and programs of the ECFR during the meeting. Both parties engaged in a transparent and in-depth exchange of views regarding initiatives aimed at addressing the war crisis in Sudan.

Discussions focused on exploring potential roles for the European Union and its member states to achieve a political breakthrough that contributes to ending the war in Sudan. Additionally, they discussed ways to enhance opportunities for humanitarian aid to reach those affected.
