Sudanese Health Ministry Sends Medical Supplies and Ambulances to Kadugli
Kadugli - Mashaweer
The Sudanese Ministry of Health dispatched more than 100 tons of medical supplies and equipped ambulances to the city of Kadugli in South Kordofan State today (Tuesday). This initiative is part of an effort to support health services following the lifting of the blockade and the opening of routes leading to the city.
The blockade had led to a famine in Kadugli, where approximately 147,000 people equivalent to 80% of the population have been displaced, according to the United Nations. Dilling faced similar conditions before it was reconnected to North Kordofan in late January.
The Federal Ministry of Health stated in a report that a delegation from the ministry arrived with a shipment delivered via the National Fund for Medical Supplies. The cargo includes over 100 tons of supplies, along with ambulances provided by the National Agency for Emergency Care and Ambulance Services, aimed at strengthening the capabilities of hospitals and health centers in Kadugli and surrounding areas.
The Ministry confirmed that the supplies will be distributed to health facilities based on urgent needs, with priority given to emergency services and life-saving care.
