Massad Boulos Discusses Securing Humanitarian Truce in Sudan with Saudi Foreign Minister

The U.S. Presidential Advisor for African and Arabian Affairs held a meeting with Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, the Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs, which he described as a “constant honor.”

In a statement, Boulos revealed details of the discussions, which focused primarily on the developments of the crisis in Sudan.

He explained that the two sides discussed “efforts aimed at securing a humanitarian truce, advancing the political path, and supporting the transition to a civilian-led government in Sudan.” He emphasized that these steps come “within the framework of the broader goal of ending the war and restoring stability” in the country.

The U.S. advisor added that the meeting also included an “exchange of views on developments in Libya, Yemen, and several other regional issues,” reflecting the ongoing coordination and consultation between the United States and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia regarding volatile files in the region.
