Rapid Support Forces Shells Ed Dueim and “MSF” Treats 167 Injured in Sudan

Ed Dueim - Mashaweer

A Sudan Armed Forces (SAF) source told Al Jazeera that a drone belonging to the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) targeted the city of Ed Dueim in White Nile State. Meanwhile, Doctors Without Borders (MSF) announced that it recently treated dozens of people injured by RSF drone fire.

MSF stated today (Friday) that it handled 167 injured people following drone strikes carried out in the Kordofan and Darfur regions of Sudan during the first half of February.

In an official statement, the international organization explained that its medical teams treated patients suffering from penetrating chest and abdominal wounds, multiple limb fractures, head injuries, and shrapnel wounds resulting from the drones.

The organization reported that civilian areas and vital infrastructure across various parts of Sudan—including schools, markets, health facilities, and water sources were subjected to drone strikes launched by both the SAF and the RSF during this period.

MSF warned that these types of attacks place civilians and humanitarian workers at extreme risk, calling for their immediate protection. The three states of the Kordofan region (North, West, and South), along with the Darfur region, have witnessed fierce clashes between the two parties for months.
