At least nine people were killed and others injured on Saturday evening following a drone attack on the city of El Obeid, the capital of North Kordofan State. Consumer goods warehouses and an oil production factory were also destroyed.
The shelling hit the El Obeid market, leading to the destruction of consumer goods warehouses and retail shops, as well as car maintenance workshops. The bombardment also caused the destruction of one of the largest oil factories in the city.
The aerial attack caused fires and significant material damage to the targeted facilities amid a state of panic among the residents.
Over the past weeks, the Rapid Support Forces have continued to target the capital of North Kordofan State through daily attacks using drones, which have caused massive destruction to infrastructure and service facilities.
