Hamdok: Ending the war is the least Sudanese women deserve after all the sacrifices they have made

London - Mashaweer

The head of the Civil Democratic Alliance of Revolutionary Forces (Somoud), Abdalla Hamdok, said that despite the pain, Sudanese women remain an example of patience, gallantry, and resilience, protecting their families, volunteering in community kitchens and emergency rooms, acting as anti-war activists and peace advocates, and keeping the flame of hope alive in the darkest circumstances.

He added, I salute the women of Sudan as they face the harshest consequences and horrors of this war: from loss and sexual violence to hunger, displacement, seeking refuge, and doubled responsibilities.

He continued, Ending the war and building a just peace is the least that the women of Sudan deserve after all the sacrifices they have made.

Hamdok added, All my solidarity is with you at home, in displacement camps, and in countries of asylum.

He concluded by saying, You are Sudan’s hope for a brighter tomorrow, more free, peaceful, and just.
