Somood Coalition condemns drone shelling of civilians and calls on warring parties to stop attacks
Addis Ababa - Mashaweer
The Civil Democratic Alliance of Revolutionary Forces (Somood) condemned the recent bloody drone strikes between the warring parties in Sudan, which have killed dozens of civilians and targeted civilian objects.
The coalition added in a statement: “We condemn the killing of civilian victims in West Kordofan State by an army drone, and we also condemn the attacks launched by Rapid Support Forces drones on the White Nile and the targeting of the Umm Dabaker station.”
The coalition called for an immediate end to attacks on civilians and civilian objects, and for those responsible for these crimes to be held accountable.
The coalition stressed the need to stop the flow of weapons to the warring parties in Sudan.
It renewed its call to the leadership of the Army and the Rapid Support Forces to engage with sincerity and determination in the Quartet mechanism process, declare a commitment to a truce, and implement measures to stop and end the war and its catastrophic consequences.
