Power and water outages exacerbate the suffering of Sudanese people in late Ramadan
Northern State - Mashaweer
Large areas of the Northern State have been experiencing power outages since yesterday evening, Saturday.
The outage comes at a time when the Sudan Electricity Company stated it would implement emergency programming in the states of River Nile and Red Sea, and parts of the capital Khartoum, as a result of a fault in the Merowe-Atbara transmission line.
Residents are complaining about high temperatures in Sudan, which have exceeded 40 degrees, alongside electricity and water cuts, which has worsened their suffering during the month of Ramadan.
Despite the ongoing crises, the electricity company has not commented on the service interruption in several cities and regions.
