Sudanese move to besiege the “Muslim Brotherhood” organization inside and outside the country

Addis Ababa - Mashaweer

Sudanese legal and civil leaders confirmed the start of a broad movement to mobilize the information, diplomatic, and political support necessary to stop the activities of Brotherhood elements and networks, both local and trans-border, which pose a significant threat to international and regional security.

The step comes after the United States’ classification of the “Brotherhood” organization, its fronts, and linked networks came into effect yesterday (Monday).

In December 2025, the Empowerment Removal Committee, which was formed following the fall of the Brotherhood regime in 2019, revealed that it maintains an integrated database of the organization’s membership and activities.

The movements of civil forces aim to stop the organization’s destructive activities and recover funds looted through illegal means, estimated at hundreds of billions of dollars.

The Brotherhood organization’s control extends to security and military institutions, in addition to a network of economic interests that includes traders and importers, and manages companies operating in the Gulf, Europe, the United States, and several Asian and African countries.
