Today (Saturday), the Sudanese Teachers Committee revealed that it has begun implementing a gradual escalation process due to the crisis of teachers’ salary arrears, while ignoring the suffering of workers in the education sector.
The committee said, in a statement, that it “discussed internally the crisis of wages and financial arrears for teachers, as the authorities’ continued ignoring of the demands of education workers prompted it to determine gradual escalation steps.”
She stated that the escalation path begins with precisely formulating demands and submitting memorandums to the relevant authorities, with the steps later graduating into field movements that will be announced successively.
The committee announced the formation of a higher committee for escalation, to ensure continued pressure until the demands are fully and undiminished.
