A Sudanese minister announces on LinkedIn that he wants to work overtime for double his salary
Port Sudan - Mashaweer
Sudan’s Minister of Livestock and Fisheries, Ahmed Al-Tijani Al-Mansouri, used the professional networking platform LinkedIn to announce his need for additional part-time work while holding his ministerial position.
Al-Mansouri explained in a post with the tag (Available for Work) that the reason behind this step is the “double salary” he receives from his ministerial position.
He said: “As Minister of Livestock and Fisheries, and given the weak salary I receive, I am looking for additional part-time work and I appreciate your support.”
In his publication, Al Mansouri identified his areas of professional interest, which included roles such as research assistant, senior consultant, senior management consultant, risk management consultant, and business management consultant.
The minister indicated his willingness to consider job opportunities in several countries in the region, including Sudan, Qatar, Oman, the Emirates, and Saudi Arabia.
In a subsequent post on the same site, Al-Mansouri wrote: “This is to clarify the misunderstanding of my post that I published today. I am actually looking for international companies or institutions interested in investing in animal production cities in Sudan so that I can provide them with consultations so that their projects will be successful and profitable.”
Al-Mansouri was appointed to his position in July 2025 within the government of Prime Minister Kamel Idris.
