Abdelatty and Massad Boulos Discuss Developments in Sudan

The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that “Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty and US President’s Senior Advisor for Arab and African Affairs, Massad Boulos, discussed developments in Sudan.”
It added that “Minister Abdelatty reaffirmed Egypt’s firm position” in support of Sudan’s unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Abdelatty stressed the need to preserve Sudanese national institutions and intensify regional and international efforts aimed at reaching a comprehensive political settlement.
The war in Sudan between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) erupted in April 2023, leaving millions dead, injured, internally displaced and seeking refuge in other countries.
