Airdrops of Food Aid in South Kordofan to Address Humanitarian Crisis
Follow-ups – Mashawir

The central government is working to carry out airdrop operations of food and medical aid in the cities of Dilling and Kadugli.
The Ministry of Finance is expected to coordinate with relevant government bodies and United Nations agencies to implement urgent relief operations aimed at delivering essential medicines and food, in response to the deteriorating humanitarian and health conditions, as well as the cash shortage affecting both cities due to the siege imposed by the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement – Al-Hilu faction and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
Finance Minister Gibril Ibrahim, in a meeting with Abdulrahman Daldoum, the Deputy Governor of South Kordofan, affirmed efforts to leverage support from humanitarian organizations to provide cash assistance to residents until a more permanent solution can be reached—by lifting the siege and opening humanitarian corridors in the state.
Daldoum outlined the worsening humanitarian situation, highlighting the lack of health services, clean water, electricity, and communications, which has intensified the suffering of residents who have been trapped in the two cities for the past two years.
