The Darfur General Coordination for Displaced Persons announced that cumulative cholera cases in the region have risen to 13,426 infections, with deaths climbing to 569.
The outbreak continues to spread, recording 212 new cases and 12 deaths on Wednesday alone, amid a total lack of healthcare and a shortage of medical staff.
The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have maintained a nearly two-year siege on the city of El Fasher, leading to severe shortages of goods, the collapse of essential services, and widespread hunger.
According to a statement by the El Fasher Resistance Committees, an RSF drone struck a civilian gathering in the city’s Al-Daraja Al-Oula neighborhood on Wednesday, causing further deaths and injuries among residents.
