Tineh Emergency: Escalating Violence Forces Thousands of Families to Flee

Follow-ups - Mashaweer

The Emergency Room of Tineh, a town located on the Chadian border, reported that more than 103 civilians including children, women, and herders have been killed, and over 88 civilians injured, due to battles raging in those areas for over a week.

In a statement, the Emergency Room explained that the areas of Qadeer, Sasa, Andur, Jirjira, Hajju, Mastoura, and Khazan Basu, along with several neighboring villages, are being subjected to consecutive attacks by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF). These attacks have included the theft of residents’ property, the looting of livestock, and the burning of villages.

The statement pointed out that these attacks have led to the displacement of more than 18,000 families to the border regions. These civilians, particularly women and children, are living in the open air amidst a state of terror and tension, following repeated reconnaissance drone strikes and continuous ground assaults on their areas.

The statement confirmed that the town of Tineh which is overcrowded with residents and internally displaced persons (IDPs) from various localities and states living in shelters and with host families—has faced new attacks, forcing people to flee for the third time. It noted that ground and air attacks have not stopped since December 22, 2025, until this moment, targeting public places and institutions. This has led to the shutdown of most facilities, while some continue to operate only partially.
