Khaled Omar Youssef, Vice President of the Sudanese Congress Party and a leading figure in the “Somoud” Alliance, stated that the alliance’s tour of Europe aims to establish diplomatic communication with European governments, parliaments, research centers, and humanitarian organizations. The goal is to discuss the repercussions of the devastating war in Sudan and explore ways to find an urgent, negotiated peaceful solution that begins with an immediate and unconditional humanitarian truce.
Youssef expressed his hope that these efforts would receive support and backing from the European Union and its member states.
He noted that during the visit, the delegation will meet with Sudanese nationals in the diaspora to consult on how to strengthen efforts to achieve peace in Sudan.
The Civil Democratic Alliance of Revolutionary Forces “Somoud” is betting that its European tour will contribute to breaking the current stalemate and pushing the international community to take firmer positions to stop the war and protect civilians.
