Massad Boulos, the U.S. President’s Advisor for Africa, stated that they are in contact with both parties to the conflict in Sudan.
He noted that communicating with the commander of the “Rapid Support Forces” (RSF) is not easy, while communication with the Sudan Armed Forces (SAF) commander is conducted on a regular basis.
Boulos explained that both sides of the conflict bear responsibility for the deterioration of conditions during the recent period.
He pointed to an unprecedented flow of weapons to both sides, noting that the humanitarian tragedy in Sudan is the largest the world has ever seen.
