Field assessment teams from the Displacement Tracking Matrix estimated that 815 people were displaced from the town of Mistariha in the Kabkabiya locality of North Darfur state on February 27 and 28, due to escalating insecurity in the area.
A recent report by the Displacement Tracking Matrix stated that the displaced individuals moved to various locations within the localities of Kabkabiya, Al Sereif, and Saraf Omra in North Darfur state, amid conditions described as tense and rapidly changing.
Field teams confirmed they are continuing to monitor developments closely and will provide more information regarding displacement movements in North Darfur and the rest of Sudan in the coming period.
The report noted that the latest updates from the Displacement Tracking Matrix regarding the situation in Sudan are now available for review.
