Distribution of Emergency Shelter Materials to Dozens of Displaced Families in East Darfur

Al-Daein – Mashaweer

The Al-Daein Emergency Rooms Coordination Council, in collaboration with the Al-Qubba Humanitarian Emergency Room, has implemented an emergency shelter assistance project benefiting 150 displaced families. The initiative is part of ongoing humanitarian efforts to ease the suffering of conflict-affected families and provide them with minimum shelter necessities.

The assistance included tarpaulins, tents, and other essential shelter materials as part of a series of interventions carried out by the emergency rooms to address humanitarian gaps and provide safer shelter for displaced families amid the continuing humanitarian crisis.

Speaking to Mashaweer, volunteer activist Al-Daw Mahmoud from Al-Daein said that “providing shelter materials is an urgent priority for displaced families, especially during the rainy season.”

He added that “these interventions help protect families from harsh weather conditions and alleviate their suffering.”

Mahmoud also called on humanitarian organizations and donor agencies to expand their support to reach more families that remain in urgent need of shelter and food assistance.
