However, the army announced that it had repelled the assault, inflicting significant losses in lives and military equipment on the attacking forces.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Since the early months of the conflict, Dilling has been under a suffocating siege due to the military map of control in South Kordofan, shared between the army, RSF, and SPLM-N.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>The blockade has triggered a severe humanitarian crisis, with reports emerging of famine caused by a critical shortage of food and medical supplies.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Previously, the army accused the SPLM-N and RSF of jointly killing at least 14 civilians during an attack on a town near Kadugli.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>In South Kordofan, the RSF controls the towns of Al-Debeibat and Al-Hamadi, while the SPLM-N holds Kauda and surrounding areas.
