The Sudanese Teachers\u2019 Committee has called for a salary increase for teachers after publishing a study on the rising cost of living.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In a statement, the committee demanded that the minimum wage be raised from 12,000 Sudanese pounds to 184,680 Sudanese pounds, along with a 25% increase in allowances for those working in education, based on their basic salary.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n

It also called for fixed-value allowances to be reviewed every six months to keep up with fluctuating prices, in addition to paying all outstanding dues, including salaries, allowances, bonuses, and grants.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n

The committee pointed out that its Social Affairs Office conducted a study on the minimum cost of living in Sudan, comparing it to the basic salary for all employment grades, calculated in US dollars.<\/strong><\/p>\n
