The African Union is arranging direct meetings between Sudanese political forces on October 6 in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, as part of the consultative sessions organized by the High-Level Panel on Sudan chaired by Mohamed Ibn Chambas.<\/p>\n
The AU extended invitations to political forces supporting the army and a military solution, as well as to the Revolutionary Democratic Civil Forces Alliance \u201cSumood\u201d (Steadfastness), which opposes the war, to participate in the upcoming meetings.<\/p>\n
The Civil Democratic Forces Coordination \u201cTaqaddum\u201d dissolved itself on February 10, following internal disputes over declaring a parallel government in areas controlled by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF). It also refused to join the Founding Sudanese Alliance \u201cTa\u2019sis\u201d (Foundation).<\/p>\n
Opponents of the parallel government later announced the formation of the Revolutionary Democratic Civil Forces Alliance \u201cSumood\u201d, which presented a political roadmap to end the war.
