The United Nations\u2019 International Organization for Migration (IOM) revealed today, Saturday, that thousands of people have been displaced from the Habila and Al-Quoz localities in South Kordofan State as a result of insecurity.<\/h4>\n

<\/h4>\n

On January 26, the Army announced the lifting of the siege on the city of Dilling after its forces arrived from Habila, which had been under the control of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North (SPLM-N).<\/h4>\n

<\/h4>\n

In a statement, the organization said that approximately 4,315 people were displaced on January 28, 2026, from several villages in the Al-Quoz and Habila localities in South Kordofan State following an escalation in insecurity.<\/h4>\n

<\/h4>\n

The IOM noted that the displaced fled from the villages of Dibkayr, Al-Bashama, and Shushaya in Al-Quoz locality, as well as Al-Tital village in Habila locality. They moved toward the Al-Rahad locality in North Kordofan State amidst a situation that remains tense and rapidly changing.<\/h4>\n
