One person was killed and others were injured in a drone attack on a humanitarian convoy belonging to the World Food Programme (WFP) in North Kordofan, Sudan, according to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).<\/h4>\n

The UN Humanitarian Coordinator in Sudan, Denise Brown, stated: “I am deeply concerned about a drone attack on World Food Programme trucks in North Kordofan.”<\/h4>\n

<\/h4>\n

She added that the trucks were traveling from Kosti, “carrying life-saving food assistance for displaced families near El Obeid,” the capital of North Kordofan State, resulting in “the death of at least one person and the injury of many others.”<\/h4>\n

<\/h4>\n

The “Emergency Lawyers” group, which documents war violations in Sudan, confirmed the attack on the WFP convoy, accusing the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) of carrying it out.<\/h4>\n

<\/h4>\n

For its part, the Sudanese government condemned the targeting of WFP convoys in North Kordofan by the RSF.<\/h4>\n
