The Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a communiqu\u00e9 today (Sunday) that “the Government of Sudan is committed to the necessity of ending the war and stopping the destruction of the state and the starvation of the people.”<\/h4>\n

<\/h4>\n

The statement added that “ending the war is achieved by dismantling its sources and holding accountable those who commit violations and those who breach international humanitarian law.”<\/h4>\n

The Sudanese Foreign Ministry further noted that the Government of Sudan “will not accept that those who are partners with the perpetrators of crimes\u2014or those who remain silent regarding their commission, be partners in any project aimed at ending the war.”<\/h4>\n

The Ministry pointed out that “violating the Security Council resolution calling for a ban on the entry of weapons into Darfur puts the credibility of the Security Council at stake.”<\/h4>\n
